Seed Monitor
The Seed Monitor is a microprocessor-based cab
console which senses main box seed flow at each row in
real time. It constantly checks rates and alerts on
out-of-limit conditions, such as seed run out.
Kits are available for several drill widths (pick a row count
equal to or higher than the drill’s). The seed monitor
requires a speed input, either radar or wheel sensor,
which can be either drill or tractor-mounted.
When ordered with the initial purchase of a drill, the
drill-mounted components of a Seed Monitor kit are
factory-installed. Seed tube sensors are standard
equipment on 10HDP series drills, and are
factory-installed.
Order one kit per drill. A compatible speed sensor is also
required. See next Options topic to order a radar, wheel
sensor, or adaptor cable for an existing sensor.
The Seed Monitor kit includes a separate manual describing installation, configuration and operation.
Speed Sensors
The optional Seed Monitor (above) requires a speed
sensor, either tractor- or drill-mounted. You can use a
new radar or wheel pickup, or an existing sensor.
Adaptor cables are available for existing sensors.
