Wing Coupling Options
At time of initial planter ordering, one of the following
three options must be specified for wing to center section
coupling:
• Hydraulic Down Pressure
Wing coupling cylinders are actively controlled, and
used to transfer weight to the wings as needed in
challenging light no-till conditions on uneven ground.
For operation, see “Hydraulic Down Pressure
Calibration” on page 159 and “Hydraulic Down
Pressure” on page 52.
• Wing Flex
Hydraulic cylinders at the coupling allow the wings to
flex during planting, but keep them level during folding.
This configuration is suitable for most planting
situations.
• Wing Lock
Wings are rigidly coupled to center via tie bars. This
configuration is only suitable for planting strictly on flat
ground.
