Off
The adapter is not powered or
is not connected properly to
the drive.
• Securely connect the adapter to the drive
using the ribbon cable.
• Apply power to the drive.
Flashing
Red
The adapter is not receiving
communication from the drive,
connected drive is faulted, or
a drive is missing in
Multi-Drive mode.
• Clear any drive faults.
• Verify that cables are securely connected.
• Cycle power to the drive.
Solid
Red
The drive has refused an
I/O connection from the
adapter.
Another DSI peripheral is
using the same DSI port as
the adapter.
Important: Cycle power to the product after
making the following correction:
Verify that all DSI cables are securely
connected and not damaged. Replace cables
if necessary.
Flashing
Green
The adapter is establishing an
I/O connection to the drive or
[DSI I/O Config] is configured
for all I/O disabled.
• No Action. This status indicator will turn
solid green or red.
• Verify Parameter 15, [DSI I/O Config]
settings.
• Normal behavior if no DSI I/O is enabled.
Solid
Green
The adapter is properly
connected and is
communicating with the drive.
No Action.
Orange
Daisy-chained drives in
Multi-Drive mode are not all
Allen-Bradley drives
(PowerFlex 4/40).
Use Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4/40’s for the
daisy-chained drives.
