SOLUTiOn
Clutches slip (effected row does
not plant or skips).
Plunger in cylinder seized.
Remove air line and lubricated with
pneumatic or light duty hydraulic oil.
Worn Clutch.
Replace worn items.
Dirt/debris buildup inside clutch.
Disassemble clean as needed.
Reassemble.

Seed does not travel through
delivery tubes.
System pressure set too low.
Increase system pressure.
Seed stops flowing to row unit
during planting.
Seed surging.
Shut down air seed delivery system and
restart system from idle; seed should start
flowing.
Debris in system.
Insert shutoff door, open cleanout door.
remove plug.
Seed does not move from
entrainer at startup after
exposure to water.
Seed swelled in entrainer.
Insert shutoff door, open cleanout door.
remove swelled seed.

Closing wheel(s) leave severe
imprint in soil.
Too much closing wheel down pressure.
Adjust closing wheel pressure.
Closing wheel(s) not firming soil
around seed.
Not enough closing wheel down pressure.
Adjust closing wheel pressure. Severe no
till conditions may require use of cast iron
closing wheels.
“V” closing wheel running on top
of seed furrow.
Improper centering.
Align. See “V Closing Wheel Adjustment”.
Single closing wheel not directly
over seed.
Improper centering.
