23. Safety cut-out in an overpressure situation

The LABOROTA 20 control has been designed for distillation under vacuum. All of its gaskets and
seals have been optimized for this vacuum atmosphere. Product feeding also only works under
vacuum.

In particular situations, overpressure may build-up in the glassware kit. Please understand that our
sealing system has not been designed for such overpressure situations.
In adverse overpressure situations, solvent may get into the drive module and hence damage
bearings.
Moreover LABOROTA 20 control features an electronic overpressure monitoring circuit;
"Emergency function" will disconnect the item to avoid overpressure damage.
