Description
Defines the type of authentication used by an organization:
• 1 = Privately Managed Passwords, (PMP)
• 4 = POP Authentication, (POP)
• 5 = SHA1 Cross-Authentication, (XAuth)
Note: To change your authentication type, please contact your support
representative.

Authorization
• Read: Edit Organizations
• Write: Read-only for administrators
Notes
This field is useful with the authentication_data field. The authentication_type
field helps determine what type of password string should be used in the
authentication_data field.
