Replace the retainer or fan.
Make sure that the cables are not squeezed between the retainer or fan and
the top of the card.
If you have a Power Macintosh 8500, use this illustration:
This guide on the retainer engages the processor card in the computer.
Snap the retainer
back into place. Be
sure not to pinch the
CD audio cables.
