Tuning in strong signals
Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those
radio stations with sufficiently strong signals
for good reception.
1
Press FUNC and then press LOC to se-
lect the local mode.
2
Press LOC to set the local seek sensitiv-
ity.
There are four levels of sensitivity for FM and
two levels for MW/LW:
FM:
LOCAL OFF — Level 1 — Level 2—
Level 3 — Level 4
MW/LW:
LOCAL OFF — Level 1 — Level 2
The
Level 4 setting allows reception of only
the strongest stations, while lower settings let
you receive progressively weaker stations.
Storing the strongest
broadcast frequencies
BSM (best stations memory) lets you auto-

and once stored there you can tune in to
those frequencies with the touch of a button.

2
Press BSM to turn BSM on.
“
Searching” appears. The six strongest broad-

1 – 6 and in order of their signal strength.
When finished, “
Searching” disappears.
To cancel the storage process before it is
completed, press
BSM again while “Searching”
