Screen 5 of 9 – LINE ACQUISITION – Max Delta Heading
What is the Max Delta Heading?
Max Delta Heading is a setting to limit the amount the vehicle heading can change in a given amount of
time. If the vehicle turns too quickly then the Max Delta Heading should be decreased. This is a good
parameter to adjust for tractors or sprayers that have a wide boom. Decreasing this parameter for
these machines will help prevent them from swinging back and forth.
What does the Max Delta Heading slider adjust and when to adjust it?
The slider adjusts how quickly the ParaDyme system turns a vehicle right and left.
• Decrease Max Delta Heading if the vehicle is turning too quickly or abruptly.
• Increase Max Delta Heading to allow a vehicle’s to turn quicker, e.g. allow the heading to change
quicker. NOTE: There are other parameters which limit how quick a machine will turn and the
speed of the hydraulics is the ultimate limit. Increasing Max Delta Heading may and probably
won’t increase how quickly a vehicle turns.
NOTE: One vehicle where this parameter may come in handy is a sprayer with a wide boom.
Decreasing this setting will help limit the amount of sway in the boom.
