Error Codes Description Solution
DC Internal bus failure • Cycle power on the autoloader
and attempt the operation
again.
F0 Drive over temperature condition • Check ambient temperature
conditions to assure they
are inline with operating
specifications.
• Check all fans to ascertain they
are working properly.
F1 Library controller lost
communication with the drive
• Cycle power on the autoloader
and attempt the operation
again.
F2 Drive sled not present • Cycle power on the autoloader
and attempt the operation
again.
F3 Drive hardware error • Cycle power on the autoloader
and attempt the operation
again.
F4 Drive load time-out Drive has run into a time-out while
loading a tape.
• Retry the operation.
F5 Drive unload time-out Drive has run in into a time-out
while unloading a tape.
• Retry the operation.
• If necessary, attempt the Force
Tape Eject process. Inspect
the cartridge for defects after
unloading.
