Replace the cartridge in the magazine making sure that it is fully inserted.

Reinstall the autoloader in the rack.

Power on the autoloader.

If the magazine inserted was the right magazine

Power down the unit.

2.

Remove the autoloader from the rack.

3.

Tilt it so the right side of the autoloader is facing up.

4.

Gently rock the autoloader and listen for the sound of a cartridge coming out of the magazine and

or rattling around. If there is no loose cartridge sound then set the autoloader down and contact you

local service representative.

5.

If there is a rattling sound, tilt the autoloader so that the front left corner is the lowest point and then

gently set the autoloader down on a horizontal surface.

6.

Manually release and remove the left magazine.

7.

The cartridge should be visible in the opening for the left magazine. Reach in and pull it out.

8.

Replace the left magazine.

9.

Manually remove the right magazine.

10.

Replace the cartridge in the magazine making sure that it is fully inserted.

Power on the autoloader.

Autoloader error codes

If an error occurs during operation of the autoloader, the autoloader stops the current operation and

displays an error code on the LCD screen. Unless otherwise noted in

Table 11

on page 52, try to resolve

the error by cycling power to the autoloader and retrying the last operation. If the error persists, contact

support personnel, see

HP technical support

” on page 10.

indicates the position in the sequence list, 0 being the most recent.

The rest of the line shows three codes. The first is the main error code; use the list provided below

to find out what the code means, 8C = rotation obstructed. The other two codes are the suberror

code, 34, which provides additional information about the error for service engineers, and

subcode-specific information, 12, for factory use.

Press Enter to display any additional information about the error. For our example, the following

information is displayed:
