Cleaning the tape drive

When the Clean drive LED is on, the tape drive needs to be cleaned. HP also recommends that, for

preventative maintenance, the drive is cleaned once a week. Cleaning times can range from a few

seconds to a few minutes during which time the Ready LED blinks. Use only DDS cleaning cartridges in

an HP StorageWorks DAT 72X10 1U autoloader.
