Configuration

The Configuration menu provides access to the following autoloader configuration options:

To access the Configuration menu:

1.

From the Home screen, press Previous or Next until the screen displays Configuration.

Press Enter to select.

2.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays your selected function. Press Enter to select.

Setting the language

To change the language in which messages are displayed on the operator control panel, do the following:

1.

From the Home screen, press Previous or Next until the screen displays Configuration.

Press Enter to select.

2.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays Set Language. Press Enter to select.

3.

The screen will display the current language. Press Previous or Next to display the available

languages. Press Enter to select a specific language.

Changing the drive SCSI ID

CAUTION:

If you change the SCSI ID, you may also cycle power on the host server and reconfigure your backup

software before you can use the autoloader.

NOTE:

You cannot configure the LUNs. The drive will always be LUN 0 and the autoloader will always be LUN

1. If the backup software and host are only detecting the drive, then the HBA may not support LUN

scanning or LUN scanning may not be enabled.

To change the drive SCSI address, do the following:

1.

From the Home screen, press Previous or Next until the screen displays Configuration.

Press Enter to select.

2.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays Change Drive SCSI ID. Press Enter to

select.

3.

The screen will display the current SCSI ID. Press Previous or Next to change the SCSI ID number.

Press Enter to select. An example of the screen display is Drive SCSI ID=6.

NOTE:

Do not use SCSI ID 7, which is reserved for the SCSI controller. SCSI ID 0 is typically

assigned to the boot disk and should also not be used unless the autoloader is on a

dedicated SCSI bus.
