Software Updates
Your SA9200 unit is shipped with the latest system software
installed. After initial installation and setup, you may be eligible for,
or choose to purchase a software version update. This chapter
describes the update procedure.
Multiple Software Images
The SA9200 provides sufficient local storage for at most five
software images (though at any time, only one image is active and
executing.) You can download and install new software images on
the SA9200 by using the CLI command
config sys software
install .
Software Image Media
Depending on the circumstances, you may receive your software
update on a CD-ROM as part of a new software kit, or you may
download it from an HP software web site. In either case, the
distribution consists of a single large binary file of approximately 20
megabytes. The first step in software installation is to place this
install image file on an ftp server accessible by the SA9200.
