3.2.4.1 CONFIGURATION & SETUP FOR MESSAGE CENTER SUBSYSTEM “DIRECT FROM NONSTOP”
MODE
As the name suggests, this feature offers the users to configure the Message Center Subsytem for operating in
“Direct from NonStop” mode through Admin-- >MC System Settings-- > Message Center Setup (Click on the ‘Edit’
button on right corner of ‘Message Subsytem’ pane). More details are presented below:
The Message Center section shows whether the Message Center Subsystem is turned ON or OFF. It also shows the
details about Primary, Secondary IP addresses and port numbers of the Desktop component of the Message
Center. Web ViewPoint will attempt to send information first to the IP address configured as Primary. Failing that it
will attempt to send it to the secondary address. Also shown are the selected Delivery options. The Message
Center settings can be edited by clicking on the Edit button on the extreme right. The Edit button results in a new
Window which has the Message Center Setup.
 Select On to set up Message Center
 Check the box of the delivery method.
 Click on Save to store the new settings and display them on the parent page. Each time a new delivery
method is setup the required settings should be edited to avoid interference.
In this mode, notifications for event subscriptions in the form of Emails, and SMS notifications and SNMP traps are
sent directly from the NonStop.
Note: For voice subscriptions to be played on the administrator’s terminal, the Message Center PC component
must be installed and running.
