the option of which Events and tokens should be displayed, and in what format. Please see,
for more details.
4.2.3.3 FILTER CRITERIA PASS OR FAIL INTERPRETATION
In Web ViewPoint Lite events live, query or token analyzer settings, users can set the filter criteria to be PASS or
FAIL. The default value set is PASS. The Pass/Fail option applies only to the Owner/Subsystem/Event number
combination. The PASS or FAIL criteria is based on the selection made within the section shown in the figure
below:
String matching is always “positive” (must match). Even if FAIL is selected, the string criterion will be matched and
displayed in the results.
Please see the example below to know how the pass or fail settings is interpreted.
Consider the following 4 scenarios in events live settings:
1. Selected Owner-Subsystem-Event is none. From time is 06/07/13 12:50:00 pm. The filter is PASS. The
result we get is 100 events.
2. Selected Owner-Subsystem-Event is TANDEM.ASAP.512. From time is 06/07/13 12:50:00 pm. The filter is
set to PASS. The result we get is 20 events which contain 15 events with text ‘AAA’ and 5 events with
text ‘BBB’.
3. Selected Owner-Subsystem-Event is TANDEM.ASAP.512. From time is 06/07/13 12:50:00 pm. The filter is
set to PASS. The String is set to ‘BBB’. The result we get is 5 events.
4. Selected Owner-Subsystem-Event is TANDEM.ASAP.512. From time is 06/07/13 12:50:00 pm. The filter is
set to FAIL. The result we expect to get is the remaining 15(Events with event number set to 512 minus
events that match string ‘BBB’ which is 20 - 5) events but we get all events that do not match the criteria
TANDEM.ASAP.512 but matches the string ‘BBB’.
