2.9.3 ACTIVATING LOGON CONSENT BANNER (OPTIONAL)
Web ViewPoint provides the capability to optionally display a Consent Banner at Logon. (Note: This option is not
available for Web ViewPoint Lite users.)
The Consent Banner option is enabled by including ‘PARAM SHOWCONSENT YES’ in the WVPCONF file. This option
forces the user to accept particular user defined terms and conditions (text display) before enabling the user logon
function.
The setup of this option requires the user to create their particular text file (i.e. file name defined in CONSENT-
BANNER) to be displayed as the Consent Banner (i.e. Terms and Conditions) in an edit file (file code 101) and
configure the associated Assign and Param in the WVPCONF file. The default WVP configuration does not include a
Consent Banner text file or the associated Param or Assign. (Note: The default WVP configuration will not require
or display a Consent Banner, if option desired then the setup must be done post-installation.)
