Error Condition
Probable Cause / Recommended Action
Remote Web Console does not respond.
Exit the Remote Web Console by pressing Ctrl key, Alt key,
Shift key, and D key all at once. If you still cannot exit the
Remote Web Console, restart the Remote Web Console
computer, or terminate the Remote Web Console process
with the following method.
For Windows:
Exit all applications that use Java, and then start the task
manager and terminate javaw.exe and javaws.exe.
For UNIX:
Exit all applications that use Java, and then terminate
javaw and javaws by kill command.
Note:
If you exit the Remote Web Console using
the method above after you logged into the
Remote Web Console, wait for an RMI time-out,
and then restart the Remote Web Console (see
Setting the Environment Parameters
Java console is grayed out and does not start
when you try to start Remote Web Console.
Restart the Remote Web Console computer, or terminate
the Remote Web Console process with the following
method.
For Windows:
Exit all applications that use Java, and then start the task
manager and terminate javaw.exe and javaws.exe.
For UNIX:
Exit all applications that use Java, and then terminate
javaw and javaws by kill command.
An internal error occurs, or a web browser
ends abnormally (forcibly).
Close all dialog boxes. Log in to the Remote Web Console
again. If the same error occurs, restart the Remote Web
Console computer.
A network error occurred. There is no
response to an operation even after 30
minutes passed.
Restart the Remote Web Console computer.
Note:
An operation may take over 30 minutes depending
on the use condition. For example, when several Remote
Web Console computers are running, it may take a lot
of time.
The Remote Web Console computer is
suddenly rebooted.
Restart the Remote Web Console computer.
If you open the Java console dialog box
by selecting the Java icon on the system
tray while logging in to the Remote Web
Console, the browser and Java console may
become hung up.
Do not open the Java console dialog box while logging
in to the Remote Web Console. If the browser and Java
console become hung up, restart the Remote Web Console
computer.
A network error occurred while logging in to
the Remote Web Console.
Close all dialog boxes. Log in to the Remote Web Console
again. If the same error occurs, check the network
environment.
The message indicating the login processing
has been displayed and there is no response.
The SVP may be set as an exception on the proxy setting
of the web browser. Make same setting on the following
dialog boxes.
For JR E1.4: the Proxies dialog box of the Java Plug-in
Control Panel
For JRE 1.5 or JRE 1.5: the Network Configuration dialog
box that can be opened from the Basic dialog box of the
Java Control Panel
During the Remote Web Console operation,
the Internet Explorer web browser suddenly
disappears (Internet Explorer suddenly
ends).
Restart the Remote Web Console computer.
