Adjusting the Aperture
Adjusting the AE Level
Use the AE shift control to adjust AE level in order to darken or lighten the
image. You can select from 15 AE levels.
1 Open the [AE Shift] submenu.

2 Select an AE level and then press SET.
Available AE Levels
NOTES
• You cannot adjust the AE level if the camcorder is set to full auto mode
(0 47).
• You can set the [J Other Functions]
[Custom Function]
[ZR-2000 AE SHIFT] setting (0 131) to [AE Shift] to adjust the AE level
using the AE SHIFT dial on the optional ZR-2000 Zoom Remote
Controller.
Setting the Light Metering Mode
Select the light metering mode to match the recording conditions. This
will ensure that your subject will have a more suitable exposure level.
1 Open the [Light Metering] submenu.

2 Select the desired option and then press SET.
• The icon of the selected mode appears on the left side of the screen.

• When you set the camcorder to full auto mode (0 47), [Light
Metering] will be set to [Standard].
• If you set an assignable button to [Backlight] or [Spotlight] (0 117),
you can press the button to change the light metering mode.
