Example of reading direct parameters:
In order to check whether the direct parameter has been correctly transferred, a plausibility check should be
performed. For this, the corresponding index must be sent with the function Write Parameter. For the start-up
time P102 in parameter set 1, this would be the Index 0054
hex
. Only the Index needs to be transferred, i.e. the
number of parameter Bytes is 2.
In order to read out the parameter value P102, proceed as follows:
• Transfer the Index with Write Parameter
• Then read out the parameter value with Read Parameter
After the successful completion of the Write order, start the Read order with command number 41.
The Index and the parameter value are then output to the reception buffer.

If subsequently, i.e. without a further Write order being started in the meantime, one or more Read orders are
started consecutively, the AS interface reads the corresponding parameter values consecutively according to
the Index sequence of the direct parameter table. The AS interface automatically counts up the index.
Note:
This automatic Index increase only applies to the direct parameter function.
As a result, after the next Read Parameter String order, the parameter value P102, start-up time, is read out
from parameter set 2 in the reception buffer.
