the keypad (SPED) is a VEPP (VISA® compliant Encrypting PIN Pad) or
PCI-EPP.
For the VEPP or PCI-EPP, dual control passwords are required when entering
Key Management.
A prompt will be displayed requiring dual password inputs whenever the

item is selected.
When this dialog is displayed, menu item 1 is automatically selected. When
the password for User 1 is entered successfully, menu item 2 will automati-
cally be selected. If the password for User 2 is entered successfully, the k
ey

is displayed.
When initially installed, The VEPP or PCI-EPP contains the default pass-
word ‘000000’ (six zero’s). This password MUST be changed by the users
after it is entered the first time.
