The terminal operates as a menu driven system. Host controlled messages and
menu options presented on the LCD display screen guide the user’s actions.
The desired menu option is selected by pressing one of the screen function keys
located to the left and right of the display. For the purpose of security, many
screens may time out as determined by the Host. The time out length may vary
depending on the function being performed.
Shortly after the unit is turned on, the Windows
XP
operating system,
and then
Prism
TM
NDC will load, followed by the Customer Welcome screen. If the con-
trol panel is opened ANYTIME (before or after) the Prism
TM
NDC Emulation
application loads, or the supervisor switch is in the “S
UperviSor
” position, the
terminal will default to the the Prism
TM
NDC Supervisor main menu (S
elect
).
