ENTER MAC: Prompts for the 16 digit “MAC flags” that determine how
MACs are generated:
First 6 digits are the machine number (see “CONFIGURE – MACHINE
NO”)
Digit 7: ‘1’ – check the MAC and Time Variant number in Transaction Reply
messages and MAC in State and FIT config messages. ‘0’ - do not check
MAC or Time Variant numbers.
Digit 8: ‘1’ – send the MAC and Time Variant number in Transaction
Request messages. ‘0’ – do not send the MAC and Time Variant number in
Transaction Request messages.
Digit 14: ‘1’ – check the Security Terminal Number in Transaction Reply
messages. ‘0’ - do not check the Security Terminal Number in Transaction
Reply messages.
Digit 15: ‘1’- calculate the MAC for selective messages and message fields
(host configuration). ‘0’ – calculate the MAC for the whole message.
Digit 16: ‘1’ – send Time Variant number and MAC for Solicited Status
messages. ‘0’ – do not send Time Variant number and MAC for Solicited
Status messages.
