:
The e
nter
k
ey
A option is used as the Master PIN key. A new encrypted
PIN key can be downloaded from the host computer using this key. Once
the new PIN key is loaded, the A key is no longer used. Any new PIN key
downloaded from the host will be encrypted using the current PIN working
key. The PIN Master key is made up of hexadecimal characters ( numbers
0 - 9 and the letters A, B, C, D, E, F). To enter the A Key (PIN Master) key:
1. Press <1> on the keypad. A DES key input box (max length - 32) will
be displayed for a user to enter Part 1 and Part 2 of k
ey
A (PIN Master
Key). There are also four (4) function keys (F5 - F8) and an on-screen
keypad are displayed. The on-screen keypad corresponds to the terminal
keypad.
