Resources Controlled By [Auto (ESCD)]
Use the Resources Controlled By option to either manually configure all the boot and
plug and play devices, or allow BIOS to configure these devices automatically. If BIOS is
allowed to configure the devices automatically IRQs, DMA and memory base address
fields cannot be set manually.
Auto(ESCD) (Default) BIOS automatically configures plug and play
devices as well as boot devices.
Manual
Manually configure the plug and play devices and
any other boot devices.
IRQ Resources [Press Enter]
The IRQ Resources option can only be selected if the Resources Controlled By option
is set to Manual.
The IRQ Resources menu has the following options:
IRQ-3 assigned to
IRQ-4 assigned to
IRQ-5 assigned to
IRQ-7 assigned to
IRQ-9 assigned to
IRQ-10 assigned to
IRQ-11 assigned to
IRQ-12 assigned to
IRQ-14 assigned to
IRQ-15 assigned to
The above options all have the following default options.
PCI/ISA PnP (Default) The IRQ is assigned to PCI/ISA PNP for devices
compliant with the Plug and Play standard whether
designed for PCI or ISA bus architecture.
Legacy ISA The IRQ is assigned to legacy ISA for devices
compliant with the original PC AT bus specification.
