Before the lens:
The values are computed for the laser beam propagation before the converging lens. The Z

position is given
with respect to the lens’ position.
After the lens:
The values are computed for the laser beam propagation after the converging lens. The Z

respect to the lens’ position.
Save this data in the Acquisition file:
It is possible to save all real time M
2
measurements data to a file. This is the same functionality as the standard
acquisition file from the PC-Beamage-3.0. The first step to activate the M
2
acquisition by checking the “Save this
data in the Acquisition file” in the M
2
Measures Panel.
Then, go to the Data Acquisition panel and input the desired settings. For more information, refer to the
Beamage-3.0 manual in the Data Acquisition section.
