Services Reserved for Attendants
Â
Press the Loudspeaker key on your extension.
A confirmation that the service was accepted is provided both
visually and audibly; the “Accepted Service” message is displayed
on the screen, and the service acceptance tone is played.
Your extension’s general calls acceptance status is now inactive.
í
Next, press the C (Clear or Erase) key on your extension to
end the management of this service.
Your extension returns to idle status.
Your position now no longer processes your facility’s general calls.
This inactive general calls acceptance status is indicated on your
idle extension with the “--” characters displayed on the second line
of your extension’s screen, instead of “AT”.
If you are the last (or only) attendant to sign off, the system auto-
matically changes from day mode to night mode.
Notes:
The prefix “67” is the one usually used to manage the
general calls acceptance service. It may, however, have
been modified by your system administrator.
You are free to deactivate your position as attendant at any
time, even if it is not advisable when general calls are currently
being processed.
A number may be displayed on the first line of your attendant
extension screen, whether or not it is active. This number
indicates the number of general calls currently being proc-
essed by attendants. The purpose of this information is to
encourage you to activate your position, as the case may
dictate.
