Basic connections and settings
Sample rate select switch
Set this to the same sampling frequency as selected in your recording software.
If you change the UA-25’s sample rate, you must disconnect the USB cable that
connects the UA-25 to your computer, and then re-connect the USB cable in order
for the new setting to take effect.
STEREO/MONO select switch (Direct Monitor section)
This selects whether the input signal is to be monitored in stereo or in monaural.
Direct Monitor soft control switch
You can turn this on to monitor the input signal.
Turn this off if you want to pass the signal “through” within your software.
Direct Monitor volume
This adjusts the balance between the monitor volume and the volume of the audio
being played back from your computer.
Using the direct monitor volume control to adjust the volume will not affect the
recording level.
Other notes
Don’t connect anything to jacks you are not using.
Howling could be produced depending on the location of microphones relative to
speakers. This can be remedied by:
1. Changing the orientation of the microphone(s).
2. Relocating microphone(s) at a greater distance from speakers.
3. Lowering volume levels.
