Driver installation and settings (Windows)

Find the included CD-ROM.
Insert the CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.

From the Windows
start
menu, choose
“Run...”
The
“Run”
dialog box will appear.

Input the name into the dialog box as shown, and click
[OK]
.

* The drive name is “D:” in the example shown here, but this
may be different on your system. Specify the drive name for
your CD-ROM drive.
The
SetupInf
dialog box will appear.
You are now ready to install the driver.

Set the UA-25’s
ADVANCE (mode select) switch
to the
ON
position.

Use the
USB cable
to connect the
UA-25
to your
computer
.
Near the task bar, your computer will indicate
“Found
New Hardware”
. Please wait.

The
Found New Hardware Wizard
will appear.
Select
“Install from a list or specific location
(Advanced)”
, and click
[Next]
.

The screen will indicate
“Please choose your search
and installation options”
.
Select
“Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install”
,
and click
[Next]
.

Make sure that the
“Model”
field indicates
“EDIROL UA-
25”
, and click
[Next]
. Driver installation will begin.
If the screen indicates
“Windows can perform the
same action each time you
insert a disk or connect a
device with this kind of file,”
click [Cancel].
Checking the name of your
drive.
From the start menu, choose
My Computer
. In the window
that appears, verify the name
of the CD-ROM drive into
which you inserted the CD-
ROM in step 7.
The (D:) or (E:) displayed by
the CD-ROM drive icon
is
the drive name.
This unit is equipped with a
protection circuit. A brief
interval (a few seconds) after
connecting the USB cable is
required before the unit will
operate normally.
