Timing Reference

RIC-E1 supports three clock modes:
• Internal, derived from its internal oscillator
• External, supplied by the attached DTE
• Receive, recovered from the received line signal.

Diagnostics

RIC-E1 supports a V.54 (loop 3) local loopback activated by the internal jumper of
the standalone RIC-E1 unit, front panel pushbutton of the RIC-E1/R card or via
corresponding pin of the DTE interface connector (not available for X.21 and

Ethernet interfaces). For more information, refer to
