Ensure that the safety lock has been inserted before the server is
inserted (see

figure 5 on page 54

).

Ê

Extend the telescopic rails completely to the front (1).

They must click into place so that they can no longer be moved.

Ê

Lower the server from above onto the projecting telescopic rails (2), (3). As
you do this, the locking bar (4) engages.

Ê

Push the locking mechanism of both telescopic rails up (5).

Ê

For a final function test, slide the server in and out at least twice.The rails
should move smoothly.

Ê

Push the server as far as it will go into the rack (6).

Ê

Fasten the server to the rack (7) using the two knurled screws (front panel).

Ê

Route the cables as described in the technical manual for the rack in
question with the server pushed in.

4.3.3

Installation in 3rd party racks

I

The support systems from Fujitsu are suitable for use in any 3rd party
racks for standard servers (installation depth 714 - 785 mm) without
restrictions.

Ê

Refer to the manual from the rack manufacturer for details of the mechanical
installation and the climatic conditions.

CAUTION!

When installing in 3rd party racks, it must be ensured that an air flow
from the front to the back of the rack is guaranteed.

Ê

Fit the required original parts (support bracket or cable management
system).
