SERVICE INFORMATION
BEFORE RETURNING
Contact the factory before returning the
Engine Diagnostic Center (or any part) for
service. The Service Department is able to
determine which parts, if any, should be
returned. Be prepared to answer a few
questions and perhaps try some tests to help
determine where the problem is. Contacting
the factory first can save time and shipping.
Refer to the Troubleshooting steps on the
facing page to determine if the problem is
described.
CONTACTING THE FACTORY
The Service Department can be reached by
telephone at the number(s) listed on the back
page of this manual. Please have the product
model and serial numbers ready when calling
the Service Department.
PACKING
Carefully package any parts to be shipped.
It is recommended that parts be insured
based on replacement cost. This information
can be obtained from the Service
Department.
BE SURE TO INCLUDE
• The telephone of someone who can
accurately describe the problem.
• The return address. This is the most
important item. If there is no telephone
number or address, the repaired unit will
have to wait for the shipping information.
• A description of the problem should be
included. Even after explaining the
problem to the Service Department by
telephone, it is important to send the
information with the unit. A different
person may be working on the unit than
the person who took the telephone call.
