The KV bar graph screen shows live KiloVolt readings for each cylinder. The bottom of the
left bar represents the minimum kilovolts and the top is the maximum. The top of the middle
bar shows the live reading for firing KV and the right bar shows exhaust KV.

DOUBLE OUTPUT COIL IGNITIONS
These ignitions have a coil for every two spark plugs, with each end of a coil’s secondary
winding connected to cylinders opposite in the firing order. Both plugs fire at the same time,
with one on the compression stroke and the other on the exhaust stroke.
To see the performance range of the coil and plugs, momentarily apply a wide open throttle to
the engine, but do not over-rev. During acceleration and rundown, the highest and lowest ignition
KV will be generated. The live reading shows what is happening at the moment.
COIL PER SPARK PLUG IGNITIONS
When there is a coil for every spark plug, the coils are usually connected directly to the spark
plug without a wire. Connect short lengths of sparkwire between the coils and the plugs, and
then connect the KV clips to the wires.
