Summary
The 5250 ALLY should now be up and running and ready for printing
with the user’s configuration requirements set and permanently stored in
the flash memory. Unless the System (twinax address, alternate host or
printer) changes, this configuration procedure will not have to be
performed again.
For many applications, this will be all that is necessary to install and use
the 5250 ALLY. However, AGILE suggests reading subsequent chapters
to gain a full understanding of the 5250 ALLY’s capabilities and how it
may be further configured to maximize its usefulness and efficiency.
In addition, if using the 5250 ALLY to interface the host System to a
Xerox printer, read Appendix A — Interfacing Xerox Printers.
