Frame the subject and take a picture.
•
The focus mode ( Available focus modes (page 107)) setting is changed to
[
Macro close-up
] and the camera automatically zooms to the closest position at
which it can focus.
•
You can move the focus area. Press the
button, use the multi selector
or rotate it to move the focus area, and press the
button to apply the setting.

The camera captures fireworks at a slow shutter speed.

• The shutter speed is fixed at 4 seconds.
• It is recommended that you use manual focus.
• Use of a tripod is recommended because the shutter speed is slow ( Using a
tripod (page 51)). When using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting,
select the setup menu [
Vibration reduction

Off
].
Notes about [Fireworks show]
Exposure compensation cannot be used.
Backlighting
Use this mode to shoot backlit subjects. Use when taking pictures with very bright
and dark areas in the same frame.

High dynamic range (HDR) compositing is not applied. The flash fires to
