Document jam (document feeder path)
Original document is
jammed in the
document feeder
path. Turn off the Stylus Scan and
close any open applications.
Open the Stylus Scan’s top
cover and remove the
jammed document. Then
close the top cover and turn
on the Stylus Scan.

Ink low (black ink cartridge)
The black ink cartridge
is nearly empty. Obtain a replacement black
ink cartridge.

Ink out (black ink cartridge)
The black ink cartridge
is empty. Replace the black ink
cartridge with a new one. See
“Replacing Empty Ink
Cartridges” on page 10-2 for
details.

Carriage Error
The print head
carriage is obstructed
by jammed paper or
other foreign material
and cannot return to
the home position. Press the P power button to
turn off the power. Open the
front cover and remove any
paper from the paper path by
hand. Then turn the power
back on. If the error does not
clear, contact your dealer.
