Spark Arrestor

Because exhaust system temperatures can reach 1000°F, do not
perform this operation immediately after the engine has been run
because the exhaust system becomes very hot.

Because of the increased fire hazard, make sure that there are
no combustible materials in the area when purging the spark ar-
restor.

Wear eye protection.
D
Do not stand behind or in front of the vehicle while purging the
carbon from the spark arrestor.
D
Never run the engine in an enclosed area. The exhaust contains
poisonous carbon monoxide gas.
D
Do not go under the machine while it is inclined.
Failure to heed these warnings could result in serious personal injury
or death.
