MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Seat Belts
Make certain all three seat belts function properly before each
operation. Push the latch plate into the buckle until it clicks. The latch
plate must slide smoothly into the buckle. The click sound shows it is
securely latched. Push the red button in the middle of the buckle to
make sure it releases freely. Also check the belt webbing for wear, cuts
or damage. If any irregularities are found, have the seat belt system
checked or replaced by an authorized Polaris dealer.
The RANGER seatbelt is adjustable and should be adjusted for both the
operator and passenger before driving. Although having the belt at 30°
is typical for many people, it will not accommodate all body sizes and
shapes. Make certain the seatbelt is adjusted to be as low on the
lap as possible before riding.
To adjust, loosen the bolts (1), position both the buckle and retractor
and tighten bolts.
The middle belt does not self adjust. Before riding, pull on the strap to
secure the belt on the lap of the center passenger.
