MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Steering Wheel
Check the steering wheel for specified free play and smooth operation
in accordance with the periodic maintenance Chart.
Inspection:
S
Park the vehicle on level ground.
S
Lightly turn the steering wheel left and right.
S
There should be 0.8 - 1.0 in (20 - 25 mm) of free play.
S
If there is excessive free play or strange noises, or the steering feels
rough or “catchy,” have the steering system checked by an autho-
rized Polaris dealer.
