Monitoring Environmental Policy
Use this window to configure temperature thresholds and to specify if a
shutdown should be initiated when the thresholds are breached. A threshold is
breached if the temperature goes above the hard or soft upper limit, or below
the hard or soft lower limit. Violating a threshold causes an event to be
generated, posted in the event log, an e-mail or a trap sent if SMTP and/or
SNMP services are active. Violating a hard threshold, if the Init Shutdown box
is checked, shuts down the appliance.
1. Change any threshold limit. Configure any of the temperature thresholds
listed below for the CPU or the system. The temperature values are in
Celsius, and must be positive numbers less than, or equal to, 78.
2. Specify if threshold violations should initiate a shutdown. A check in the box
for CPU or System directs DiMeda to shutdown when a temperature
threshold is violated.
3. Click
Save
to set new parameters and exit the window.
