Position Function
1 CLOSED = Normal mode.
OPEN = Debug mode. Do not use.
2 OPEN = Erase all memory on reset.
CLOSED = Do not erase memory on reset.
3-8 Interface unit base address: see chapter two.
In most cases, the unit base address is 1, so that positions 3 to 8 are all CLOSED.

Position Function
1, 2 Debug port baud rate:
OPEN, OPEN = 9600
OPEN, CLOSED = 2400
CLOSED, OPEN = 1200
CLOSED, CLOSED = 300
3 OPEN = CRINDs are on spare RS485/422 port.
CLOSED = CRINDs are on second current loop: Requires board
modifications in current loop box. Do not use.
4 OPEN = Report all events during activate. Use with SCII V 2.0B or later.
CLOSED = Hide some events during activate. Use with SCI, SCII V 2.0A and
earlier.
5 OPEN = No grade restrictions
CLOSED = Restrict grades
6 OPEN = Money amounts are five digits
CLOSED = Money amounts are six digits
7-8 Reserved.
All positions are normally OPEN.
Position 5 is CLOSED if you wish to enable grade restrictions for fleet or club cards. This option
is available only at sites where all multi-fuel pumps are Advantage
 .
Position 6 setting must agree with the configuration of every pump on an interface.

Position 4 selects certain price level options and allows either twelve or sixteen pumps (six or
eight double-sided units) on a loop.
Position Function
1 OPEN = Price level 0 same as either price level 1 or 2.
CLOSED = Price level 0 not same as level 1 or 2.
2 OPEN = 12 fueling positions on this interface.
CLOSED = 16 fueling positions on this interface.
3 OPEN = Site RS485/422 deadman timer enabled.
CLOSED = Site RS485/422 deadman timer disabled.
4 OPEN = Map transient prices to level 1.
CLOSED = Map transient prices to level 2.
5-8 Reserved
Positions 1 and 4 interact. See chapter two for discussion. Unless there is a reason to do
otherwise, set all positions to OPEN.
