Section 3: Configuring the Venus 1500
Controller for First Time Use

This section is intended to provide basic instructions and examples to configure the Venus 1500
Controller. More detailed information and instructions on installing other network and display types
can be found in Section 4.
After installing the Venus 1500 Controller software on the computer (refer to Section 2), the
individual displays and networks must be configured. The three basic steps to configure the software
consist of the following:
1. Adding a network
2. Adding the display type
3. Adding the display
Once these steps are complete, you can proceed to Section 5 to create messages for the display.
The Venus 1500 Administrator is used to configure networks and displays. Click on from
the Venus 1500 Shell to start the Administrator.
