Install crank arms
1. Slide each crank arm in place. The face of each crank arm should be flush with the end of
each shaft.

6 HHCS torque to 30 lbs-ft minimum

2. Tighten HHCS on each crank arm using a 9/16” socket wrench. HHCS must to be torqued to a
minimum of 30 lbs-ft, otherwise there may be to much movement of crank arms or foot plates
during operation.
Install control board assembly
1. Place control board assembly in position on frame. If control board assembly rubs on crank
shaft, standoffs and screws will be needed.
2. Attach the screws securing the control board assembly in place using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Connect lower cables into control board. Do not connect battery to control board at this time.
Release the tension of the primary drive belt (if applicable)
1. Loosen the bottom screw on the idler pulley using a 1/2” socket wrench.
2. Loosen the top screw on the idler pulley using a 1/2” socket wrench.
Torque the primary belt (if applicable)
1. Pull up until the idler wheel rocks against the brake and is torqued to 75 lbs-ft using a
3/8” square-hole torque wrench. Continue holding torque wrench at 75 lbs-ft during the next
step.
2. While holding the torque wrench at 75 lbs-ft, use a 1/2” socket wrench to tighten the top screw
on the idler pulley.
3. Tighten the bottom screw on the idler pulley using a 1/2” socket wrench.
