T.2 Service Types
“Service Type” is the attribute field in the “RADIUS Access Request and RADIUS Access
Response” message as defined in RFC 2865. This attribute indicates the type of service the user
has requested, or the type of service to be provided.
CDM625A RADIUS client recognizes the following value fields, as assigned to the service type
attribute in RADIUS: Access-Accept messages received from the RADIUS server, and sets access
levels accordingly:

Some RADIUS Servers might need to be reconfigured with the above service type
values for corresponding user access levels.

Figure T-1 shows the typical RADIUS connectivity with the CDM625A Advanced Satellite Modem.
Remote monitor and control of the CDM-625A Advanced Satellite Modem is accomplished with
the User PC. The Modem connects to the RADIUS Server for user credential authentication.
