Step Task
6 (A) Prepare the VerseFEC-2 Option Card for installation
by aligning its connector with the mating receptacle on
the modem board.
Plug the card firmly into the receptacle – take care not
to damage any top-mounted components. Similarly, be
sure not to damage the bottom of the card during this
task.
(B) You have secured the card into operating position
once the spring-loaded capture tabs, located at either
side of the card, snap into place.
(C) Use the screwdriver to secure the provided card
mounting screw (CEFD P/N HW/SEM4-40X1/4PH) to
its mating mounting boss.
7 You have two options for installing the Air Baffle. Follow this
step only if your modem is NOT equipped with the optional
IP Packet Processor.
(A) Peel the adhesive protective paper off the bottom of
the mounting tabs and position the air baffle as shown.
(B) Slip the retainer tab over the right-hand IP Packet
Processor mounting boss. Secure all tabs to the
chassis floor.
