H igh sew ing security and good sew ability are achieved w ith the
follow ing core threads:

–

Tw o-ply polyesterendless polyestercore-spun
(e.g.E pic P oly-P oly,R asantx,S aba C ,...)

–

Tw o-ply polyesterendless cotton core-spun
(e.g.Frikka,K oban,R asant,...)

Ifthese threads are notavailable,the polyesterfibre orcotton threads
listed in the table can also be sew n.

O ften tw o-ply core threads are offered by the thread m anufacturers
w ith the sam e designation as three-ply polyesterfibre threads
(3cyl.-spun).This causes uncertainty w ith regard to tw isting and thread
thickness.

W hen in doubt,unravelthe thread and check w hetheritis tw isted 2-or
3-ply.
The labelno.120 on the thread reelofa core thread corresponds e.g.
to the thread size N m 80/2 (see table values in brackets).

In case ofm onofilam entthreads you can use needle threads and hook
threads ofthe sam e thickness.The bestresults are achieved w ith soft
and elastic threads (softw are)ofthe thread thickness 130 D enier.
