Screen is updated, but won't respond to keystrokes.
Disable hardware flow control on the terminal or terminal emulator. The RAID Controller Module
supports XON/XOFF flow control and works properly in most cases with no flow control.
Screen looks correct, but clock is not updated.
Check to make sure that the InfoStation is still powered ON. If using XON/XOFF, press
Ctrl-Q.
Screen is updated and menus appear correct, but boxes around menus look in-
correct.
Try a different font in the terminal emulator program. If a correct font cannot be found, set ASCII
display to "Yes" in the Display option of the Configuration Menu (Figure 31).
The host system does not see the controller.
Verify in the Ctrl-E status screen that there is a valid Host Channel FC World Wide Name
(WWN). Verify that the port ID is active and that a valid arbitrated loop port address (AL_PA)
is assigned. Verify the array LUN numbers are configured correctly and not overlapping.
Host Fibre Channel Problems
LK LED (FC host port is not lit).
The problem may be incorrect settings for the FC host port. Verify the type of connection and
change topology accordingly. For hub, use Loop and for fabric/switch, use Point to Point
topology.
LK LED (FC host port) goes ON/OFF repeatedly when connecting to a fabric switch
(F-Port).
The problem may be that the FC port topology is set to Loop and the fabric switch requires
Point to Point.
