Sample Number
The Sample # is a number assigned to each pulled sample. If this menu field is set to YES, each time a sample point
is added to the Point/Grid file, you will be prompted by the program to enter a new sample number. If this menu field
is set to AUTO, you will not be prompted each time a point is added and the numbering sequence will automatically
increment by one for each sample pulled. You will be prompted for a starting number after Start Nav 2 Point menu
item has been pressed. If this menu item is set to Off, then no sample number will be added to any new sample points.
To change the Sample Number setting; highlight the Sample Number menu item and press . The Sample Number
dialog box will appear. Select the desired setting using the arrow keys , once the desired setting is selected,
press to return back to the Data setup menu, see Figure 4 -19.

Setting Description
Off A sample number will not be added to any new sample points.
Yes You will be prompted for a new sample number each time you mark a sample
point.
Auto The sample number will automatically increase by 1. You will be prompted
for a starting number.
