PROBLEM

POSSIBLE CAUSE

SOLUTION

Load bar stops too high
(exceeds the ‘soft’
limits).

Run mode not activated properly.

Go through setup procedure (steps
12 & 13) again, paying particular
attention to the last step of a
continuous run from top limits to the
bottom after activating Run mode.

Only one winch
operates up and/or
down.

Motors not wired correctly, system
in manual mode.

Have a qualified electrician verify all
wiring to winches and control panel.
Go through setup procedure again.

Key switch locks in
either up or down
direction.

Faulty key switch.

Contact factory for a replacement.
Limit system use until the
replacement can be installed as this
can create an unsafe unattended
system operating situation.

Motor overload relay on
motor starters (in control
panel) keeps tripping.

Incorrect voltage setting.

Wiring not terminated correctly, or
short in wiring.

Have a qualified electrician verify
line voltage and system wiring.

Display screen inside
control panel says
‘Undefined Menu’.

PREV button pressed too many
times (as many as 256).

Turn breaker or disconnect power
switch off, then back on again.

Control panel door won’t
latch closed.

Power disconnect switch is on.

Turn power off at the circuit breaker
or main building panel. Manually
turn power disconnect switch inside
control panel to off.

Communication
between components
not working.

Wiring damage or unconnected
components.


Limit switches damaged.






Components hooked up incorrectly.

Verify all wiring is complete and
accurate according to all wiring
diagrams.

Verify limit switches inside winches
are working properly, and set at
appropriate locations. Use a
continuity checker and manually
activate the limit switch lever to
verify switches are working.

Verify all communication links by
checking LED indicators according
to diagram and Communication
Troubleshooting Procedure below.
