G After the Main Motor has been tested and proven good, the motor relay may be checked as follows:

1. Connect the machine to electrical power.

Advance the timer to the beginning oi a wash or drain cycle.

Set your vollmeier to the 250V, AC scale and connect the leads to terminals ”S" and "L" of the starting relay

(Figure J5), Apply power to the machine. If the motor hums and voltage is indicated on the meter, the relay
contacts are not dosing and the relay must be replaced. If the motor does not hum, disconnect the power and

make a continuity check of the relay coil (terminals L to M) before checking the leads and timer.
